60 LEDs vs 120 or 240 LEDs per Metre: Which Strip to Buy
More LEDs per metre means brighter, smoother light. The 60 LED strip is best where the strip is hidden and light bounces off a wall or ceiling, such as a cove. If the strip will be seen directly or placed behind a diffuser, step up to the 12V/120L strip or a 240 LED strip for a line without visible dots.

How to Install the 12V/60L LED Strip Light
- Measure the run and decide where the driver will sit. It should stay dry, ventilated and reachable for servicing.
- Choose a driver of the right voltage with about 20 percent spare capacity above the total strip wattage. Our team can confirm the wattage per metre for you.
- Clean and dry the mounting surface. For the neatest finish and better heat control, fit the strip inside an aluminium profile.
- Cut only at the marked cut points and connect the positive and negative wires the right way round.
- Switch on and test the full run before the cove or profile cover is closed.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the price of a 60 LED strip light in Kolkata?
The Diamond 12V/60L LED strip light costs ₹450 for a 5 m roll in single colours and ₹2,000 for the RGB version, with a 2-year warranty.
Is a 60 LED per metre strip bright enough for cove lighting?
Yes. A 60 LED per metre strip is bright enough for hidden cove lighting, where light reflects off the ceiling. For brighter or dot-free light, choose a 120 or 240 LED strip.
Does the 12V/60L strip light need a driver?
Yes. The 12V/60L runs on 12V DC, so it needs a separate 12V LED driver connected to mains power.
What colours does the 12V/60L strip come in?
It comes in Warm White, Cool White, Natural White, Blue, Green, Pink, Red and Ice Blue, plus an RGB colour-changing version.
Can I cut the 12V/60L LED strip?
Yes. You can cut it at the marked cut points along the strip without damaging the rest of the roll.
Which LED strip is best for a TV unit?
A warm white 60 or 120 LED strip works well behind a TV unit. The 12V/120L gives a smoother line if the strip is partly visible.
Where can I buy LED strip lights in Kolkata?
You can buy LED strip lights from Diamond Electrical Industries online at dewdiamond.com or at the Esplanade showroom, 11A, Esplanade East, Kolkata 700069.
